Thanks for coming to my website, Brads Bookstore. Please don’t be fooled by the bright lights of Brads Book Store. Yes, technically it is a bookstore. But the only book I stock on these shelves is the one I wrote for my son. You may be saying to yourself “OH YES” another children’s book. Yes it is a children’s book but one that once you have read you will never again wonder to yourself how to express to your child exactly how you feel towards them. It applies to all ages young and old because whether you are a father holding your newborn for the first time or a grandmother looking at your granddaughter reflecting back on how you felt all those years ago when your daughter was first placed into your loving arms. The love for a child by a parent is unparalleled.  A feeling that once was indescribable but now is found in a simple book written by an ordinary father who reached deep within himself and opened up his heart to allow his son a glimpse of how his presence alone moved him to tear out a piece of notebook paper and write down his thoughts and feelings.

    Simply put it is a thirty two page picture book written from a father’s perspective capturing all of the special milestones and heart felt moments that parent experiences during the first year of life with their child. It chronicles all of the emotions that a parent encompasses during those initial twelve months of life. From the first glances, the first cries, the first toothless smiles from across the way, to the first laughs in the bathtub, the first food flying meal, and finally ending with the first birthday. This story will warm your heart and enlighten your soul. The illustrations of Nanette Luy bring my words to life and will enwrap your heart within each special moment in my story.
